Alfred holds a PhD in business from the University of West London, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sunderland, a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University and a BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Wales.

 

His key areas of research are entrepreneurial education, competencies and pedagogies, female entrepreneurship, social innovation and strategy. He contributed to the Macmillan publication book series on African Entrepreneurship and currently has a contract with Emerald’s publication to publish a book on entrepreneurial competencies.

He’s a certified project manager and a fellow of the CEU Leadership and Management with Integrity for SMEs policy lab with a strong focus on motivating people, helping others navigate sensitive political environments and cultural change. He’s highly successful in delivering quality presentations, effective stakeholder engagement, exceptional project outputs and programme/business outcomes.

With a constant need to justify investment across sectors and partner categories, Hamid is quite au-fait with financial appraisals, validation, due diligence, risk management and plausible attribution methods and processes.

She is also an Alumni of the Enterprise Development Centre, with a certificate in Non-profit leadership and management from Lagos Business School.

Sorie- Sengbe Marrah

Human Right Activist

Augustine Sorie-Sengbe Marrah is a leading lawyer, constitutional expert and good governance enthusiast. He graduated top of his class from the Sierra Leone Law School in 2009 and has been in legal practice for over a decade. He spent his first seven years of practice in Sierra Leone’s leading law firm—Yada Williams and Associates. He has offered ranging legal and consultancy services to top corporate/commercial entities, national and international human rights and charitable institutions, and highly distinguished individuals. He has litigated a few international commercial arbitrations before the London Court of International Arbitration and the International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Court. He is co-counsel in an action brought by the Association of Ebola survivors in Sierra Leone against the Republic of Sierra Leone at the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice.
Augustine has extensively written on ranging issues of good governance, the rule of law, democracy and often blogs about political, social and economic injustices in Sierra Leone.
He sits on the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone—the body in charge of the Pharmacy profession and pharmaceutical trade in Sierra Leone—and was one of a seven-member team appointed by the President of Sierra Leone, to craft the national anti-corruption strategy for 2019-2023.
Augustine served as secretary of the regulatory body for lawyers in Sierra Leone (General Legal Council) and its disciplinary committee for two consecutive years. He is a member of the Sierra Leone Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. He currently runs his own law firm in Sierra Leone—Marrah & Associates.

He is better known as the Founder/ Executive Vice Chairman of Chocolate City Group- a media /entertainment company which is comprised of Chocolate City Media (Film, TV and content production) , Chocolate City Kenya, CCX (live Music space) and Chocolate City Music record label -one of the biggest record labels in Africa- and home to some of Africa’s most talented artistes including Grammy Nominated Femi Kuti, M.I Abaga, Blaqbonez, CandyBleakz etc. In March 2019, Chocolate City inked a landmark partnership deal with Warner Music Group ( the third biggest record label globally)– the focus of the deal is to promote the Chocolate City catalogue and artists across 60 new markets as well as expand the reach of Afrobeat music globally.

Audu is globally recognized as one of the pioneers of the Afrobeats music genre that has taken the world by storm – his work has included Copyright reforms having led the Digital Music Committee for the Copyrights Society of Nigeria, leading  the Senate Committee Ease of doing business working group in 2016/2017 as well as the Nigerian Economic Summit Group Creative industry group. In August 2020, he chaired the inaugural Music Week Nigeria business conference that attracted over 700,000 unique views and over 2,000 virtual attendees.

Founder: The Mansaray Foundation

Saibatu Mansaray is a women’s empowerment devotee, medical practitioner, decorated retired United States Army officer, podcaster, CEO, and Founder of The Mansaray Foundation. Her 26-year span of experience ranges from executive and organizational leadership both within the military and at the White House, developing and implementing health policy and humanitarian efforts, executive medical planning, international diplomacy, and protocol in support of the president and vice president of the United States in over 45 countries. She is the host of a platform called "The Saibatu Mansaray Journey ” born out of the adversity she experienced with the loss of her father in 2019. Through that trial, God strengthened her faith, returned her back to practising Islam, and every day that trial serves as a reminder that tomorrow is not promised. Today she strives in the path of Allah, lending her voice and platform to propagate Islam and by the will of Allah encourage our youth and women to the Deen. She is the Founder and CEO of The Mansaray Foundation, a nonprofit organization that envisions and works toward a Sierra Leone where the maternal mortality rates are among the lowest five in Africa. She has two radio segments aired on African Young Voices (AYV) and Voice of Islam network where topics on empowerment, faith, health, and community building are discussed. Ms. Mansaray served 23 years in the United States Army, did two tours to Iraq, and spent 10 years of her career working at the White House for both the Obama and Trump Administration. She currently has a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and is currently a candidate for a Master’s in International Affairs with American University. She is a certified Physician Assistant.
